How does the free text search work?

The way that the search works is that it takes each word entered and compares words is the title and description of each product.

So for example, a search for horse mugs will return any record that has either horse or mugs within it.

2. What if I do a text search and no matches are found?

Firstly, check your spelling! Also, the search engine does not need plurals, so you don’t need to put an ‘s’ at the end of the word. Consider the word you have used. For example, “coffee” may return no results, but “mug” will.

What if I do a text search and the wrong results are shown?

Think about the word you have used. For example a search using “key ring” will bring up all products with key ring somewhere in their label or description. You will get many products shown if you use the word “horse”! So think about what you are looking for before doing a search.

What if I can’t find the category I’m looking for?

Retrace your steps through the categories and check some other closely related categories out. Alternatively, you could try a text-based search.
